Space Resources Laboratory is a space subsystem provider with focus on the small satellite industry. Our products include CubeSat platforms, CubeSat deployers, Micro-propulsion systems etc. Our aim is to exploit the small satellite industry and make space more accessible to everyone.
Project Description
We are looking for a marketing individual currently pursuing master’s in Engineering at a UK based University. We are currently working on the design for standard CubeSat platforms which can be sold commercially-off-the-shelf (COTS). You will be required to design CubeSat deployers and produce drawings for manufacturing. Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Propulsion Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or any other relevant field for this role.
Responsibilities

Study spacecraft design procedure

Design and model CubeSat deployers using a CAD software (Ideally Siemens NX)

Optimise the design and design procedure

Produce drawings of the models

Prepare technical documents and presentations
Essential Skills
-
Proficiency in 3D modelling CAD packages (Ideally Siemens NX, other software may be considered, and training will be provided to use Siemens NX)

Proficiency in producing drawings for manufacturing

Basic understanding of FEA for satellite structures

Ability to work on short deadlines
Optional Skills

Ability to perform detailed FEA on structures is appreciated but not essential

Knowledge of Animation packages like Blender, Cinema4D and 3DSMAX
